A room filled with art supplies of all kinds is a dream almost every artist has. I too would love to have all possible shades of all the colors in the world. Wouldn't that be a dream come true! That said, I feel that we don't need to wait till we have all the supplies to create something extraordinary. I remember, as a kid I loved to draw using nothing but a black pen. I started drawing with pens as I would have run out of a certain paint color after the last time I had painted. The reason I am telling you this is because, I have realized that sometimes the challenge to work with very few supplies can result into some of your best works.
Try this. Pick out a few supplies and challenge yourself to create something with nothing but those few chosen items. You'll be surprised by what you come up with. Don't forget to share the results with me.
This painting was done using only one shade of blue watercolor. I created a monochromatic scheme by thinning down the color to create various shades of blue. A simple but effective way to create an artwork.
